QM in Cascading
Cascading is an application framework that allows for rapid development of data analytics on Apache Hadoop. It is an abstraction of the popular MapReduce software framework that supports distributed computing on large data sets on clusters of computers. By moving to this new framework, Deerwalk will be able to rapidly deliver new sets of Quality Metrics. It also allows us to more easily create integrated unit tests of our metrics to ensure the highest quality.
Deerwalk is pleased to announce the 1.5 release of Makalu, a data analytics platform.
Customizable Tabs and Tab Names
In Makalu 1.5, tabs are customizable and can be renamed as requested by each client. Also, only tabs that have data underneath them will display to the user. For instance, if a client does not have Lab or Pharmacy data, those tabs will not appear in their Makalu user interface.
Deerwalk is pleased to announce the 1.0 release of Yala, a member portal.
The Health Profile is available for a member to view as a part of a completed HRA. When a user pushes the “complete” button in the HRA, the Health Profile is generated. For clients who use both our Yala and Everest products, the completed HRA and associated Health Profile are visible for members in Yala and for clinical users in Everest.
Deerwalk is pleased to announce the 0.8 release of Yala, our member portal.
1. Makalu Care Alerts to Yala
a) My Care Alerts: Specific Care Alerts that display in the member’s Member Profile screen in Makalu are displayed in Yala for the same member. Care Alerts and risk triggers in Makalu that are used by clinical users to identify potentially at risk members but that are not actionable by a member themselves will not be brought into Yala. [An example would be if a member had a 30 day re-admission for COPD.] If Care Alerts exist for a member in Yala, they will display on the Dashboard as shown in the example below. When a Care Alert is no longer in the member’s Makalu Member Profile, the system will also remove the alert from the member’s Yala record.
