The fourth season of Deertalk 2013 ran from June21 to July 24 and featured Prativa Dahal, Sulekha Bhandari, Suraj Pant, Sunil Manandhar, Neeraj Sharma, Rosina Shakya, Deependra Shrestha, and Biswas Lohani. The season included many informative and entertaining speeches and we saw everyone visibly trying to better themselves with each passing episode.
“You will have a different experience. Visiting new places is not so bad.” I never said that I wouldn’t go, but people kept on pushing me. I do not know why but people normally over-recommend things to me, maybe because I do not believe most of them.

Multi-level aggregation (LOA) in Care Analytics and Care Quality
With the implementation of Multi-level aggregation Makalu 1.9 now has capability to filter Care Analytics reports by multiple levels. On the Care Analytics filter (CA102) and Care Quality Filter (QR100) we’ll be able to support multiple levels of filtering based on client defined fields and hierarchies. Besides LOA implementation this release also includes the handling of Member switching in LOA for the Care Analytics reports.
I have been working in offshore offices of US-based IT companies for the past five years and I had always been eager to learn about the workings, processes and environments at onshore offices. Fortunately, I got an opportunity to visit Deerwalk’s headquarters in Lexington, Massachusetts last month.
The third season of Deertalk 2013, from May 23 to June 14, featured Ashish Vaidya, Deependra Shrestha, Deepak Karna, Jeevan Timilsina, Naresh Maharjan, Nimesh Deuja, Rachana Shrestha, Rajan Twati, Sawan Vaidya and Sunil Ghimire.
On Saturday, June 15, 2013, twenty-six Deerwalkers hopped in the vans and headed to Kakani for a management workshop. Our arrival brought with it a stroke of luck: the rain had lifted and we were able to begin the day’s program outside with some team and trust building exercises. First “The Human Knot” to encourage teamwork and group listening, then “The Gauntlet” to show the importance of trusting one’s colleagues and finally a blind-folded relay race. If nothing else, the games broke the ice.
Deertalk’s second season wrapped up on May 17, 2013. The season’s participants were Awanish Ranjan, Ashish Shrestha, Bhoj Raj Ghimire, Bikram Lal Shrestha, Lava Kafle, Milan Lamichhane, Sachin Karanjit, Samrat Karanjit, Sanket Shrestha, Sweta Karna and Suresh Maharjan.

HRA and Biometrics Implementation in Member Search
Deerwalk’s clients have the option to import member specific biometric and HRA data into their Makalu application. As part of our expansion of clinical functionality in Makalu, the ability to filter, analyze and report using biometric and HRA data has been added in the Member Search module.
Throughout my career I have been a part of different IT offshore businesses at different levels and I have found the field to be very challenging. Challenging because of the immaturity of the IT field, geographical separation and cultural differences rather than the novelty of the model itself.
Professional Communication Club (PCC) of Deerwalk has started a public speaking platform named Deertalk which aims to provide Deerwalkers with an opportunity to improve and enhance verbal communication skills. Each batch, comprised of about ten participants, is provided with training on public speaking and participates in four Deertalk Sessions: Topic Based Speech, Debate, Extempore, and Slideshow Presentation.
