Jeff has been with Deerwalk since 2010 and is a co-founder of the company. Previously, he served as the company's President where he focused on business development and customer service. Before that, he was a co-founder and Chief Development Officer of D2Hawkeye, Inc. which also served the healthcare analytics space. It was at D2Hawkeye that he met Rudra Pandey, Deerwalk's Executive Chairman. Prior to that, he was the co-founder of companies in executive relocation, pediatric home health care, and medical group management. Jeff has almost 40 years of diversified health care experience. He is a Magna Cum Laude graduate of the University of Tampa and is a Certified Public Accountant.
Dave Hansen leads operations and finance for Deerwalk as President and CFO. Mr. Hansen is a senior executive with over 35 years experience in business management. He has managed entrepreneurial enterprises as well as a large complex organization. Prior to joining Deerwalk he was the Managing Partner of DNH Partners LLC which was formed to provide assistance to small to mid-sized companies seeking financing, a merger, or the sale of the company. Prior to forming DNH Partners, from 2003 to 2009 he was Executive Vice President of D2Hawkeye, Inc., a healthcare informatics company. D2Hawkeye was successfully sold in 2009 to Verisk Health, a subsidiary of Verisk Analytics, Inc., a publicly traded company. He remained with Verisk Health as Executive Vice President until June of 2012 when DNH Partners LLC was formed. Prior to joining D2Hawkeye he co-founded Falcon Capital Partners, a private investment and consulting company. Falcon’s successes included Capella Senior Living—an organization that provided investment, restructuring and advisory services to private Investors and financial institutions in the long term care industry. From 1996 to 1998, Mr. Hansen was the Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors of Mariner Health Group, Inc. While at Mariner, Mr. Hansen assisted in the successful sale of the Company to another publicly traded company in 1998 for $1.2 billion. From 1988 to 1996 he was a Partner in the Boston Office of Coopers & Lybrand LLP (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP). Mr. Hansen graduated with a BBA from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and an MBA from Cornell University.
Bill Higgins leads the analytics for Deerwalk as the Chief Analytics Officer. Bill is an experienced health care executive with over 20 years experience. He has experience at the executive level in many healthcare businesses including HMOs, hospital systems, managed care organizations, and physician groups. As its first COO, he was instrumental in the nurturing of D2Hawkeye. Bill has an MBA from University of Florida and is a Certified Public Accountant.
With over 15 years in the software industry, Jeff, a talented software engineer and architect, is also a skilled leader with a demonstrated track record of motivating his teams to deliver high-quality and cost-effective services and solutions. Prior to joining Deerwalk, Jeff was the Chief Technology Officer and co-founder of Rezzonate where he was responsible for the technology vision and led the development effort. Earlier in his career, Jeff provided hands-on leadership of engineering groups at Cisco Systems, WebEx Communications, and Intranets.com. These groups specialized in delivering Web-based applications for businesses of all sizes. Jeff holds a bachelors degree in computer science from Tufts University.
Jo Anne Hunt, a highly respected industry veteran in the area of health care product development, leads Deerwalk’s clinical efforts as the SVP of Clinical Development. Ms. Hunt, a registered nurse, has extensive experience in the areas of clinical product design and development. She worked at D2Hawkeye for more than four years as head of clinical product development and also worked as clinical lead of product development activities for Casenet. Prior to that, Jo Anne worked as a nurse practitioner in various clinical settings and as a clinical data expert in Principal Financial Group. Jo Anne has a Masters in Nursing from University of Iowa.
Tim Huke joined Deerwalk as Senior VP of Sales and Marketing in 2016, and currently serves as Chief Growth Officer. In this role, Tim defines marketing strategies and business development plans for each key market segment that Deerwalk serve, as well as maintains new sales and overall corporate growth responsibility. Tim comes with a wealth of experience, having spent over 25 years in the healthcare analytics and cost containment industry. Tim comes to Deerwalk most recently from Change Healthcare (formerly Emdeon), where he spent over 3 years as Vice President of Payment Integrity Sales. Prior to Emdeon, Tim spent 10 years of his career at TC3 Health, Inc. as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. During this time, Tim helped evolve TC3 from a small, start up healthcare firm, to a national leader providing claims cost management solutions to over 120 payer clients nationwide. Tim’s market segment portfolio under his extensive sales leadership include: commercial, Medicare and Medicaid health plans, MCO’s, Co-Op’s, Blues plans, TPA’s, and Taft-Hartley Health and Welfare Funds. Tim holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Interpersonal and Organizational Speech Communications from California State University-Long Beach.
Scott brings nearly three decades of experience as an advisor in the healthcare field to Deerwalk, where he serves as SVP of Client Strategies. Prior to joining Deerwalk, Scott was an independent consultant for seven years focusing on providing meaningful data, insights and solutions for managing health and optimizing cost for hospital systems, third party administrators, wellness and medical management firms and employers. He began his career with Travelers/United Healthcare in sales and national account underwriting. He later joined Kanawha Healthcare Solutions (KHS), a national third party administrator for self-funded employer health plans, where he held leadership roles including President and Chief Operations Officer. During Scott’s tenure, KHS saw significant sales growth and expansion of markets as he led efforts in using predictive modeling to close gaps in quality of care. Scott received his Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Clarion University.
Kevin leads the client teams at Deerwalk as VP of Operations. Kevin brings over 10 years of healthcare client management experience, beginning his career in client services at D2Hawkeye. During his time at the company, he served in various account management and operations leadership roles, working with clients in all areas of the healthcare industry. Prior to joining Deerwalk, Kevin was Director of Client Services at Activate Networks, where he was responsible for analysis and delivery of organizational network data. Kevin received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Babson College.
Pramod leads the operations for Deerwalk in Asia. He has 10+ years of experience on the operations side of the healthcare software industry and 4+ years in the education industry. At Deerwalk, he worked as the Director of Operations and as the Director of QA prior to assuming his current role. Prior to Deerwalk, he was a key leader of diverse quality assurance initiatives at D2Hawkeye where he led group of QA engineers and also contributed as the Chief Editor of the company newsletter. Earlier in his career, Pramod worked as the Program Manager for LCCI International Qualifications and Assistant Program Coordinator for the GCE O and A Levels program at AJWIAS. Before that, he taught Art & Design and Mathematics at Pennwood Academy. Pramod is a graduate of the Budhanilkantha school in Kathmandu.
Robert provides direction and oversight to the product development teams at Deerwalk. His career began 16 years ago in the financial services industry as a developer on the Kondor+ trading and risk management system. Highlights include a portfolio cash management system, trade execution message workflow, and implementing interest accrual algorithms for equity, currency, and interest rate swaps. He later went on to become the lead developer on the trading compliance product now known as Protegent Personal Trading Assistant, which was purchased by Sungard in 2006. Shortly thereafter Robert worked at Cisco Systems as an engineering manager in the Webex division on their collaboration platform. Prior to joining Deerwalk he worked with Jeff Rick at Rezzonate creating a product powered by an affinity engine that generated smart data from users’ social networking sites. Robert has a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts.
Smriti Shrestha manages several software engineering teams inside Deerwalk that provide software solutions to our clients as well as customization and enhancements to our products. Ms. Shrestha is a highly skilled and proven software development leader with several healthcare products and enterprise solutions in her portfolio. Smriti has been working at Deerwalk since early 2010. Prior to joining Deerwalk, Smriti had a leading software development role at Verizon. She also worked at D2Hawkeye from early 2005 to 2008 as technical lead in various projects where she was involved in the design and development of data analytics and business intelligence solutions for provider and employer markets. Smriti holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering from Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering, Nepal.
